Too bad this film won't win an Oscar
28 May 2018 | by johnanthonymazzeiSee all my reviews

The topic is too shocking to be in mainstream media's brightest spotlight. Beautifully written and directed. I give credit to Jason Ritter for taking on such a role. Subject matter and events can hurt a movie's changes for success. As was the case with Hurricane Katrina overshadowing the movie A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369672/?ref_=nv_sr_1 The only question I have about the production is why did this film have two dozen producers ?
