Plot Summary |
A young, loving couple Jack and Catherine are enjoying their burgeoning careers and five-year-old son, when a long-awaited daughter Abigail becomes part of their dream of success. Their bonds of marriage and faith are tested when Abby is diagnosed with autism. For five years the couple placate the growing problem of their failing marriage; Jack trying to make a name for himself at work while Catherine becomes isolated immersing herself in their daughter's therapies. Jack finds hope in his discovery of Abigail's interest in golf, but uses it as a tool for his success, while hiding it from Catherine. Their grieving friend Enoch coaches young Abby until Catherine discovers Jack's deceit. Finances strained, Abby's growing strength and Jack's lies finally prove too much for Catherine. She gives him a final ultimatum. Enoch's confession and fatherly advice humble Jack and he returns to his family. Together they take on a community attempting to keep their autistic daughter from competing in the local golf tournament.
