No easy answers

The funny thing about this Blue Bloods episode is that it's about forgiving and forgetting. Some ironic payback is administered here all around. A topic of intense discussion at the Reagan family dinner.

A girl who was wounded in the spine 8 years before dies and the DA's office reopens the case which was handled by Danny Reagan. Handling it on the DA end is Erin Reagan-Boyle. Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan differ sharply on this issue.

Tom Selleck has a crisis involving an old colleague from when he was a detective whose weapon discharged and another detective is wounded.

But the bulk of this story goes to Will Estes who feels for another cop who testified against her partner when she caught him really doing something bad. She's given the shunning treatment by the rest of the precinct, even by Vanessa Ray. Estes agrees to switch partners temporarily and ride with Tonya Glanz. She turns out to be one stand up woman.

And Estes turns out to be stand up guy dressing down a fellow officer and subtly threatening to use the Reagan family connection if anyone bothers Glanz again. A real highlight for Estes in the Blue Blood series.

The conclusion at the Reagan table is that there are no easy answers.
