A Hidden Gem
18 September 2018 | by christopherflores-50974See all my reviews

After watching a review video about this movie from a Youtuber (Pieces of Work) - I decided to give it a watch BUT It's not really available anywhere - at least not in the U.S. That's a problem a fair amount of Asian distributing companies have, they don't make their films easily available to buy or even rent on international websites like iTunes or Vudu. It's not even available on Amazon... Regardless, I finally 'found it' and watched it. And this is a pretty darn good movie. In my opinion it had a bit of a slow-ish start, but once you get introduced to the main "villain" (even though most would consider him a good guy) and his teammates the story really picks up and keeps you engaged. Most people, especially millennials, will be able to connect with the main characters or at least understand him/them. There's a good story here with an important message; one that transcends nationalities, borders, colors. Because this film isn't easily accessible I feel as though that's a reason it even struggles to have a cult following, BUT if the studio that produced/distributed it were to allow it to be available on iTunes, Vudu, or even Netflix then for sure this movie would get the attention and praise it deserves.
