the seven, no the three, or four, actually five swashbucklers?

**only vaguely spoilery summation** The musketeers makes a pretty good go of a Seven Samurai episode. When Athos is forced to return home by the beleaguered peasantry of his estate, the ol' gang, plus Captain Treville, must rally the townsfolk and teach them how to defend themselves (using the convenient weapons store hidden behind the bookcase/ under the floorboards) against the greedy Baron that is trying by force to expand his territory. Not a perfect attempt to emulate the Kurosawa masterpiece but an enjoyable one, with an even more successful attempt at squeezing every bit of angst possible from the portrayal of Athos as possible while they're at it.
