Storyline

Legendary U.S. lawman Bat Masterson is in Toronto and claims to have seen the equally legendary Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Masterson is now a newspaperman and he's already filed a story about the sighting with his New York paper. Murdoch is doubtful about the whole thing and is under the impression that Butch and Sundance had fled to Argentina the previous year. Brackenreid is keen however - and just a big starstruck - and they set off to find the two men Masterson says he saw. After the Bank of Toronto is robbed - and that quickly followed by a train robbery - Masterson's claims appear confirmed. Masterson himself thinks otherwise and comes clean. Meanwhile, Julia and William's wedding day is fast approaching but they have yet to select just where they will be married. Julia has an idea however. The men of Station 4 plan Murdoch's bachelor party. Written by garykmcd

Goofs

During the shoot-out scene, Murdoch confronts one of the outlaws in the apparent hay loft. Next they both come crashing through the wall of the loft and the slow-motion shot shows them falling to the ground with Murdoch's hat flying by itself, not on Murdoch's head. However, when they are aroused following the fall, Murdoch has his hat close at hand, and he properly places it on his head. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Trainer: Yours, man, he's all yours. You have to think.
Constable Henry Higgins: I'd place a bet on George Dixon, if I were you, Jackson.
Constable Slugger Jackson: It's illegal, Henry, we're constables.
Constable Henry Higgins: We are off-duty constables.
Constable Slugger Jackson: Even so, I'd rather enjoy the fight unfettered.
Constable Henry Higgins: Okay, but Little Chocolate is sure to win; he's pound for pound the finest fighter there is. He's Canadian, no less. It's almost unpatriotic not to bet.
Constable Slugger Jackson: Then why don't *you* bet on him, Henry.
Constable Henry Higgins: Don't have any more money on me.
Constable Slugger Jackson: [laughs] What a surprise.
