Storyline

A troubled Air Force veteran finds clues to his buried memories in his daughter's art, while confronted by a mysterious figure from his past looking for answers of his own. Winner of 11 film festival awards, REPARATION is a powerful psychological thriller that swirls like a funnel cloud around Bob Stevens, a small-town vegetable farmer with a three-year hole in his memory. When a mysterious stranger, Jerome, shows up claiming to have been his best friend from the Air Force Police, Bob's peaceful existence begins to unravel from the outside in. Bob's entire family is caught in the storm, but none more than his eight year-old daughter, Charlotte, who discovers that she might hold the key to conjuring Bob's forgotten past. As Charlotte comes to learn, every time something happens that knocks us out of balance, we try doing something that will knock us back in. That universal theme of balance is the heart and soul of REPARATION.

Wow!

What a great film! I was lucky enough to get to see this movie in April at the Newport Beach Film Festival. The storyline was compelling and kept my interest for the entire time. There were quite a few twists and turns. I pride myself in figuring out plots, so I was pleasantly surprised that I was unable to predict where this movie ended up. The characters were realistic and and believable. I loved the cast and think they all did an amazing job. This was one of those films that really gives you a lot to think about and I do love a movie that makes you think. I really enjoyed this movie and can't wait to see it again! If it makes it to the big screen, I will be first in line!
