Brasserie Valentine is a stylish, funny film about love. About first dates, falling in love and love anniversaries. About love under pressure of daily grind and distrust. And lovingly prepared food. All in one evening on Valentine's Day.

Sylvia (Thekla Reuten) and Eddie (Jeroen van Koningsbrugge) live a good life in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. They have two children. The richness comes from a thriving drug trade, led by Eddie. A brutal police raid shakes things up and then Sylvia decides to flee the place. But Eddie would not allow that, because she knows too much.Written by
Schone Handen is a fast paced action movie about a drug criminal that has hard times with his deals and the police. His family suffers because of his bad decisions and their smooth life quickly turn into hell. I'm a Belgian so I also do speak Dutch (or our variant Flemish) but even I had difficulties sometimes to follow the very fast talking with their accent from Amsterdam. Luckely it was subtitles and that helped me a lot to understand everything easily. That aside the story is well written, with the right music at the right moment. The soundtrack makes this movie go faster every second. You don't have time to rest because there is action from the beginning till the end. Jeroen van Koningsbrugge has the leading role and he does an excellent job. A good action movie from the Lowlands.
