Storyline

STACEY (Jennifer Jiles), a 41-year-old career woman has it all together - with the invaluable help of her children's perfect (inside and out) nanny, MARISA (Lexi Zettle), whom the three kids love, and Stacey's husband TIM (Mark Lobene) doesn't mind looking at either. When Marisa takes a week vacation, Stacey is happy to prove herself and reassert her own role as Mom and sexy wife. Easier said than done - Stacey finds that without Marisa's help, taking care of family and work is a little more than she can handle. Written by Jennifer Jiles & Frederick Stroppell

HILARIOUS!! If MOTW doesn't turn into a TV series, it's a crime!
2 November 2016 | by freakyfilmsruleSee all my reviews

I have seen MOTHER OF THE WEEK at a bunch of different festivals that it got into in the 2015-2016 festival season. It's great- all of the characters are likable, believable, and relatable...especially the main character played by Jennifer Jiles- she is an amazing, talented actor and person. But my favorite character is actually Jiles' characters' bitchy vindictive boss, sharply played by Simone Lazer (who is also a doll in real life!).

The characters meld so well and the script oozes cleverness and fun. This short film left me wanting more...way more. I wanted a series that I could hit the automatic DVR button for. Who in this day in age DOESN'T have a chaotic mother or isn't a chaotic mother themselves? Support this franchise it's genius!!

A+
