Not nearly as perfect as the pilot episode, but still great

I watched this episode on TV, but I stopped watching IZombie altogether because I was at my last year at high school. So, until a few months later, I decided to watch the entire first season on Netflix before the second season ended. Now I'm reviewing the first season starting with this one.

Brother, Can You Spare a Brian? isn't nearly as perfect as the pilot which I thought was a great start to the show, but it's still a solid episode. The script's fine, the pacing doesn't drag quite a bit, the music score is pretty good, the directing is crisp, and the performances still shine especially Rose McIver who remains compelling as she continues to solve some mysteries to every single murder. So, overall, a great second episode to the first season. Thumbs up. :)
