    • Trivia
Wolfen started principal photography in October 1979 and wasn't finished until shortly before its July 1981 premiere in the U.S. Due to the legal case of director rights (the longest directors guild case up to that point), the film suffered massive delays after Wadleigh left the film in December of 1980 and was completed by the producers and director John D. Hancock filming inserts.
