Small school review
I think Dustin was a great film because it showed many emotions such as sadness, happiness and sometimes a mix of the both. I think the way the robot acted at first gave dustin a challenge but in the end they became friends, the showdown was great because it gave great tension between the 2 and made the story a little more interresting. The robot was cleaerly much better than the dog as it always stole its scraps but it changes.. see the rest in the story.
the dog was confused on why the owners got a robot when they have a dog already
The film itself was good but the CGI of the robot and the dogs expressions were priceless from the robots actions and when the robots battery died the dog was heartbroken and tried to find a solution to help save his robot buddy and the lightning could of been a bit more realistic and could of been more exiting but my favourite part of the film was when the robot let the dog ride on it's back around the house picking up all of the crumbs while the robot cleans the floors after and them getting along and how excited to dog got when the owners put the big present on the floor and the dog liking his lips.
Developing Love Story of Dog and Machine
When a little pug is introduced to one of these little vacuum cleaners that roams the house, he is originally threatened. The thing picks up every scrap there is, including little pieces of dog food that were normally his domain. Eventually, through trial and error, he comes to see this thing as a playmate, until one day, it just stops. This is when it gets even more interesting.
more than nice
a war. a friendship. run and the high purpose. short, a pug - one of the most sweet- and a special roommate. and the imagination of a fine team. this is all. simple scenes, great animation, care for details, fun and adventure. and the eyes of small pug, its lovely gestures of friendship and the fight for the grains of food. so, a must see. for a real good state after a busy day.
This dog REALLY hates the new vacuum...at least at first.
While I would agree that the CGI in "Dustin" is not great, the overall film is very nice...and it's a short film I encourage you to watch. It's cute...and very enjoyable.
When the story begins, a family gets a Roomba-like vacuum called a 'Dust-In' The family dog, a pug, is NOT thrilled with the vacuum, however, as it's too good. Every time a scrap of food falls on the floor, the Dust-In springs into action...scooping it up to maintain a clean house! And, when any of the dog's food falls on the floor, it once again scoops it up before the poor dog can get it. What's next? See the film.
This film works well due to the nice story and quality. Most of the CGI is good, though the pug was only fair by comparison. This is NOT a major quibble...and the film is well worth your time. I look forward to seeing more from Kristina Jaeger and other students who made this film.
