Trivia

The production team originally created a more realistic design for Sonic, which incorporated more fur, more spikes over his body, new running sneakers, normal-sized eyes, and a more human, athletic physique.

This design got a lot of negative feedback, and Sonic was redesigned to have a more faithful, cartoonish design. The only major element kept was the new sneakers, which he was going to change to his red shoes. See more »

Goofs

Even if Sonic's electromagnetic pulse didn't knock out cell phones themselves, it would affect the cell towers making them useless. Tom calling Wade during the blackout wouldn't have happened either way. See more »

Sonic the Hedgehog: So, I know what you're thinking: Why is that incredibly handsome hedgehog being chased by a madman with a mustache from the Civil War? Well, to be honest, it feels like I've been running my whole life. Is this too much? Am I going too fast? It's kinda what I do. You know what? Let's back up!

This was funny, fast paced and family friendly. They have plenty of comedic moments and nods to the game franchise. Loved it. Gotta go fast.
