Trivia

Stone says of her character, "Mia's driven by something that maybe she doesn't completely understand. She wants to be an artist in a city of so many people who seem to be just like her." Stone continues: "Mia feels that there's something special inside her but she doesn't quite know what it is. I could relate to her being an actress and going on auditions but even more so, there was something so exciting about taking her into this musical world where you can suddenly spin down the street or burst into song. That was a wonderful challenge." See more »

Goofs

Throughout the movie, Mia has her hair parted on the right side. This includes of course the scene where she walks outside the studio buildings with Sebastian. However right before the end of the walk, there is a close shot of her where her hair is parted on the left side. In addition the background of the close shot features a black and white building or trailer which wasn't there during the walk. See more »

Quotes

Laura: I got you a throw rug.
Sebastian: I don't need that.
Laura: What if I said Miles Davis pissed on it?
Sebastian: It's almost insulting. Is it true?
