Among The Sleep had an engaging concept to make this a great game with a lot of potential put into it. The game shows a perspective of a baby's viewing. The graphics are nice. The ending can be quite surprising. The museum level gives us a lot of explanation of what the game has planned, including a deleted ending. And it does get very sneaky when it comes to some secrets such as drawings. But the problem is the game never gotten to put both an actual story and character development into. And the gameplay doesn't really have a lot for gamers to do other than finishing it and finding the drawings. The best I can say is it can be worth a play for those that enjoy stuff like Bendy and FNAF. Maybe not exactly how they did it better, but at least for those that are like me and would like to play a game about a baby's viewing. And it was an interesting game.
This game starts off intriguing. Has reasonable amounts of suspense throughout. Its very similar to layers of fear in the sense that it doesn't quite create enough dread or immersion when faced with the prospect of death in the game.
Positive aspects include. interesting premise, interesting puzzles to work through. Great to see indy developers trying to create a unique story telling platform - *A gaming experience from a child's perspective* which is really fun and adds to a generally creepy atmosphere.
unfortunately the game is quite a lot shorter than i expected and i paid a reasonable amount for it. As the story unfolds it becomes quite predictable but overall was a good effort. Fun for a couple of hours escape but nothing to rave about.
