you must see this movie - especially if you want to understand tragedy that polish nation went through during second world war... warning: movie is drastic - but it is consistent with the historical truth... it is story about hope, uneven fight and unbelievable tragedy... it is a story mostly about young people so no surprise that there is a love-story in background... I think this movie is something that every European should see... It is a great lesson of history - it educates not only about the past but it also shows how inhuman humans can be... I think that sufferings of Jews during the war are well known - but not only Jews where suffering - btw. there is another great movie about story of Warsaw ghetto named 'The Pianist'- you have to see it if you liked this movie and vice versa...
