Sex & Nudity

  • Season two has an ever constant presence of women's tops falling a bit low or cleavage showing but not excessive and most of the time it's to do with the stance they are in. It's not super sexualised but that said it happens multiple times per episode
  • Season two episode 13 Sex is implied after heavy kissing and later a woman is seen in bed in a bra.
  • In the first ten minutes alone of the pilot the following happens: for most of the time an eighteen year old boy is shirtless; a young woman probably the same age as the boy is shown crouched and pantless with a shirt baggy enough to see her breasts, although she is wearing a bra, and a rod is stabbed through one breast; the same teenage boy falls over in a hospital gown to reveal the backside of boxers; a teenage girl is shown in a towel twice; and modest kissing between a married couple.
  • In the fourth episode, a teenage boy is shown multiple times in a swimming pool. Later, a man and woman are kissing each other in various places, and the man tries to undo the woman's bra, but she stops him and no more than kissing is shown beyond that. A married couple are shown in a car after sex. The husband refers to it as make-up sex and says they should fight more often. Nothing more than the husband in a button up shirt is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • Violence normally depicts extremely bloody shooting, fistfights, stabbings, eye-gouging, mutilation and more.
  • When the violence gets stronger, zombies are shown being wiped out in incredibly brutal ways. In one especially brutal scene, a zombie gets an an arm and then the head shot off and it is seen in slo-motion and from close-up.
  • MUCH more violent than the original tv show.

Profanity

  • Very infrequent strong language in season 3.
  • Casual strong profanity includes "shit", "asshole", "bitch", "goddamn", etc. At least one censored use of f*ck in episode 1.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One of the main characters is a drug addict, and needles for heroin are shown, as well as the withdrawals after he goes cold turkey. A drug deal goes wrong.
  • Drug addiction is a theme throughout the show.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are many jump scares.
  • The general theme is people returning from the dead. This would clearly be frightening to younger viewers.
