Ubisoft has promised a lot of pretty enticing features for its upcoming sequel, Far Cry 4. There’s the alluringly beautiful setting of The Himalayans coupled with Troy Baker’s self-proclaimed king, Pagan Min. But above all else, the feature that has caught the most attention is Kyrat’s wonderfully diverse wildlife and, in particular, its elephants.
Part weapon, part vehicle, the not-so-gentle giants are featured front and center in the latest trailer for the open-world title, which showcases the elephants in their natural habitat.
Weighing in at seven tonnes and having the ability to run at twenty miles-per-hour, the elephant’s might can’t be understated. And it seems as though Ubisoft have integrated the mammal in such a way that allows them to have a dramatic affect on in-game proceedings. So, whether it’s charging an outpost whilst on the back of an elephant or holding back while a...

Keeping up the game’s momentum from its grand debut at E3 last week, Ubisoft has unveiled the appearance of Far Cry 4’s protagonist, Ajay Ghale.
The image, which initially appeared on the series’ Facebook page, provides us with an early, portrait-like glimpse at our lead character, who has been described as “Kyrat’s native, devoted son and Pagan Min’s guest of honor.”
While revealing the appearance of the playable character within a first-person game ahead of time may seem wholly redundant, providing us with a glimpse of Ghale gives us an inkling of the Himalyan-set story. For one, it’s understood that Far Cry 4’s lead is returning to the fictional setting of Kyrat at the beginning of the game, when he encounters the aforementioned, villainous Pagan Min.
Jumping the moral line between good and evil, though, Min — voiced by the omnipresent Troy Baker — will serve as the...

Should I stay or should I go?
That poor monkey. Far Cry is back and it's more insane than ever. From selfies to stabbings, Far Cry 4 looks likes it's gonna be one helluva game — Troy Baker (the new Nolan North) is voicing the villain by the way. I got to play some of it here at E3 and it plays a lot like Far Cry 3, the loading screens were absurdly long though. Hopefully they get that sorted out.
Here's the synopsis:
Players will take control of Ajay Ghale, a man who travels to Kyrat to fulfill his mother's dying wish. Once there, Ghale becomes caught in the region's war for freedom from its oppressive dictator, Pagan Min.
The game comes out November 18th, 2014.

“We’ll give you a passport. Some cash. A gun… And after that… well, you’re fucked.”
Ubisoft kick-started its E3 2014 press conference in nihilistic style with the first CG trailer for one of the most anticipated titles of the year, Far Cry 4.
Introducing us to the game’s exotic Himalayan setting, the renowned publisher opened its media briefing with five minutes pulled from the opening cutscene. Pinned down by gunfire, we witness the protagonist saved at the very last second by the Far Cry 4‘s overarching antagonist (voiced by Troy Baker, no less) who our main character seems to know from a long time ago, according to their brief interaction. Will you be forced to work with him? Could you be in for the ride at your own will? Time will tell.
Either way, Far Cry 4 appears to exude a sense of depth and place made possible by the...
