Cordelia is a troubled, damaged soul who is only just recovering after some unnamed trauma; she is an actor rehearsing a play and comes to stay in a creepy London mansion flat occupied by her twin sister Caroline and Caroline's boyfriend Matt. When they leave her alone there Cordelia strikes up a friendship with Frank the charming, but strange and unreliable young man they can hear practicing his cello in the upstairs flat - a relationship which quickly becomes very disturbing. There are movies that leave you with questions but if they're well done, you can still feel satisfied that you watched something worthwhile. Cordelia unfortunately , which is nicely acted and beautifully shot is not one of those movies. Loaded with atmosphere, we watch a story unravel before us and by the end have no real idea what was going on. It would seem the film makers felt maybe the performances were enough ? Well no they weren't. A little slow, things just happen , questions are posed and then it just ends. Strangely at one point in the film I said to myself, I hope this is not the last shot and amazingly it was. Certainly the movie seemed to be going in an interesting direction , maybe they felt it was better if the audience tacked on an ending in their own mind ? Do writers nowadays, not know how to end a movie ? This really is not worth seeing.
