Very Clearly MTV
23 January 2015 | by TheFilmGuy1See all my reviews

I'm essentially watching this show because Victoria Justice is extremely good looking. I had a feeling it wouldn't be very good, and after seeing this first episode, it didn't really prove me wrong.

All the cops look like 20 year old male models and they all are attracted to Victoria Justice's character, an extremely attractive female hacker. The script is terrible and does a lot of "telling not showing" when it should be the other way around. Like, when a webcam light comes on after a girls computer is hacked and she looks scared, do we really need her to say "he's watching me through my webcam!" or whatever she says? No. I also think the script makes the actors seem a lot worse than they are. Like, I don't think Victoria Justice will be winning an Oscar any time soon, but the terrible script just makes her seem like an awful actress when I really don't think shes that bad. There's just not a lot to work with. There's also a good amount of stuff kinda disturbing stuff that is clearly added to shock the teen MTV audience of this show, but for someone who has seen a lot of films with violence and what not, it's not that disturbing.

It clearly caters to its teen audience, and finds itself lost in its main theme. The main killer seems to kill girls because they lie on their dating profile about their flaws, and clearly there's some kind of anti-judgmental message, yet they fill the main roles with beautiful, perfect people. Come on guys. There's a small chance the show will step its game up and become more interesting, but i'm not sure about that. I have a feeling it may be cancelled before it even gets a chance to fix its flaws.
