BBC America Picks Up Second Season Of The Channel's First Original Comedy Series "Almost Royal"
New York - December 4, 2014 - BBC America has picked up a second season of its first original comedy series Almost Royal. The (8x30) second season is produced by Burning Bright Productions with Clive Tulloh (Eddie Izzard: Marathon Man, The Dame Edna Treatment, High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman) as executive producer and Séamus Murphy-Mitchell (Bug, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross) as series producer.
In the first season of Almost Royal, Georgie (Ed Gamble) and Poppy Carlton (Amy Hoggart), the 57th and 58th in line to the throne, travelled all over the United States - from Texas to Michigan and California to New York
In the second installment, the duo will return to the states to explore American subjects like beauty, holidays, sports, law and order.

* Merlin alum Bradley James will star in Lifetime’s Damien, a new drama series that picks up where the horror film The Omen left off. The actor will play the mysterious child from the 1976 classic who has grown up unaware of the satanic forces around him, our sister site Deadline reports.
The series follows young 'royals' Georgie and Poppy Carlton as they travel around the Us learning about the country's customs and teaching Americans about Brits.
Deadline reports Ed Gamble and Amy Hoggart will return as the pair who present themselves as the 57th and 58th in line to the British throne.
The show is broadcast on E4 in the UK and BBC America in the Us; the new series will feature eight episodes.
Gamble and Hoggart have revealed they watched Made in Chelsea as preparation for their roles as the posh brother and sister.

BBC One's The Village returned for its second series with 4.62m (20.7%) at 9pm, down from last year's premiere ratings of 6.35m.
