This New Aquaman "Fish Boy" TV Spot Offers Up Some More Cool Footage

“Hey buddy, you that fish boy from the TV?”

A new TV spot for Aquaman has surfaced from the depths of the ocean and it features a few more bits of exciting new footage from the film. There’s footage of Arthur Curry (Jason Mamoa) being confronted by a group of bar patrons. We see Mera (Amber Heard) and Arthur driving through Atlantis in their water vessel, and we also get to see Mera show off water bending powers.

I like what I’ve seen from this movie so far visually and I really hope that director James Wan managed to build a solid story for this character.

Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.

Aquaman also Willem Dafoe

Ssss. Gridman Episode 2 Review: Restoration

Ssss. Gridman takes a step in the right direction with a villain that leaves us intrigued.

This Ssss. Gridman review contains spoilers.

Ssss. Gridman Episode 2

Now that’s what I’m talking about! More of the world, more of the characters, and an intriguing villain? Ssss. Gridman may not be totally there but I can see the shapings of a good show taking form.

The biggest thing to discuss this week is what looks to be our main villain. No, not that Alexis/Kilokahn looking program, it’s Akane. That purple hair girl just seemed generic “anime mysterious” last episode but here? Yo This Girl Is Wack. She’s straight up trying to kill people!

It’s like the old “Malcolm wants revenge” plots of Super Human Samurai turned up to an eleven. It’s especially effective because it isn’t just empty threats. Akane has already “killed” several of

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Episode 17 Review: Happy To Be Me

Super Ninja Steel is completely soulless and can't even get a basic lesson right.

This Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel review contains spoilers.

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Episode 17

Rinse repeat, Super Ninja Steel is soulless. The episodes aren’t trying to be anything meaningful and they can’t even get that right. This episode isn’t as blatantly offensive as some of the last few episodes have been (not being shockingly racist helps), but it’s still not great.

The lesson this week is actually fairly decent, loving yourself despite what changes happen on the outside. Sure Levi reaches the lesson because of a really silly reason, but whatever. This is where the “kids show” explanation is totally acceptable. Having a fantastical situation illustrate a lesson is fine and for a zany world like Power Rangers, it can work well enough.

The problem is the follow through. It feels

Power Rangers And Street Fighter Collide In Crazy Short Film

Earlier this year we revealed to you that the characters from Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and Street Fighter would be going head to head, and now that video has officially arrived. It’s about as wild as you would expect, with the wildest moment coming when Ryu actually transforms into a Power Ranger I’m guessing will become available in the mobile game (Power Rangers: Legacy Wars) down the road. Check out the synopsis for the film below, give it a watch, and let us know what you think:

When iconic Street Fighter, Ryu, encounters the Power Rangers, he learns that their nemesis M. Bison and Rita Repulsa have plotted to take over the Morphin Grid. With the help of Ninjor, creator of the Power Coins, Tommy Oliver provides Ryu with the Crimson Hawk Power Coin, allowing him to morph into Ryu Ranger.

Power Rangers: 15 Strongest Villains (And 5 Laughably Weak), Ranked

Even at the height of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers mania in the mid-1990s, few people could've guessed that the franchise would still be active all these years later as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. There are a lot of reasons for the Power Rangers franchise enduring all these years, but the main one is probably that the series essentially reboots itself every single year-- after Mmpr's multi-season run, that is-- with an almost completely new cast of heroes and villains, though there are some key characters that have carried over across multiple seasons. This helps to keep Power Rangers from growing stale and having any one particular story overstay its welcome.

In addition to all of the different Rangers that have come and gone across Power Rangers' 20+ different series and three theatrical films, dozens of villains have also been introduced to the franchise. While many people will always

Aladdin Remake Trailer Arrives and It's Magical

Disney has released the first trailer for their live-action remake of Aladdin. Will Smith just recently revealed the first poster for the upcoming reimagining online and we assumed that meant the trailer wouldn't be far behind. We just didn't know it would be this soon. Disney decided to unveil the trailer during Thursday Night Football as the Philadelphia Eagles went up against the New York Giants. But primetime belongs to Disney tonight.

This gives us our first footage from Disney's latest live-action remake of one of their animated classics. Strangely, and somewhat frustratingly, we didn't get our first taste of Will Smith as the Genie. The role originated with the late great and, frankly, irreplaceable Robin Williams in the original 1992 animated classic. Will fans be kind to Smith's new take? We'll have to wait and see. That's going to be a tough hill to climb, but one would be hard-pressed

James Gunn-produced horror BrightBurn gets Memorial Day 2019 release

In the days leading up to the San Diego Comic-Con this past July, James Gunn announced that he’d be making an appearance in Hall H to unveil a new horror project for Sony’s Screen Gems.

Unfortunately for Gunn and his fans, the announcement coincided with the news that he’d been fired from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, leaving the fate of the mystery horror project somewhat up in the air.

Screen Gems subsequently announced that the project would still be released this November, but now comes word from THR that the film – titled BrightBurn – has now been pushed back from November 30th to the Memorial Day weekend on May 24th 2019.

Details on BrightBurn are scarce, although we do know that Gunn is producing the film, while David Yarovesky (The Hive) directs from a script by Gunn’s brother Brian Gunn and cousin Mark Gunn.

20 Crazy Fan Redesigns Of Unexpected ’90s Cartoon Character Couples

For those that grew up in the era, fans consider the 1990s cartoon era to be one of the greatest of all time. Some of the great television content that came out for youths during this decade have held up very well by present-day standards. With former '90s cartoons like Power Rangers and Transformers being turned in to feature films, and animes like Pokémon and Dragon Ball still producing great content, we can see the strength of shows from this era.

The reason why these shows have held up so well over time is due to their characters . Not only were the characters developed in a way that made them entertaining for fans, but they were also given personalities that transcended the shows they were on. If the character was meant to stand for everything that was good in the world, then fans truly felt that they were the personification of good.

Disney's Aladdin Remake Poster Magically Appears on Will Smith's Instagram

The first poster for Disney's live-action Aladdin remake has been revealed. Disney has had a ridiculous amount of success revisiting some of their animated classics and reimagining them in live-action for modern audiences in recent years. One of the next movies up on that front is Aladdin, which hits theaters next summer and now, we finally have our first look at what to expect and, though it's really just a tease, it's sure to make fans of the original excited.

Will Smith, who has the dubious honor of playing Genie in this version, took to Instagram to reveal the poster. It features the infamous magic lamp at the center of the 1992 original, with a familiar shade of blue emanating from it. The title of the movie isn't even featured on the poster. Instead, it simply features the words "choose wisely" at the bottom and teases the May 2019 release. The title isn't necessary,

Will Smith Shares The First Poster For Disney's Live-Action Aladdin

Will Smith has shared the first poster art for Disney’ live-action adaptation of Aladdin. Like the teaser poster for the original animated film, that I also included, it puts the main focus on the genie’s lamp. It also comes with the tagline, “Choose Wisely” and a note from Smith saying, “Can’t wait for y’all to see Me Blue!”

Smith plays the Genie in the film and he is joined by Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Power Rangers star Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Numan Acar (Homeland) as Hakim, the head of the guards and Jafar’s right-hand man, and Marwan Kenzari as the villain Jafar. In addition, the live-action movie features new characters created just for the film played by Billy Magnussen (Game Night) and former SNL comedienne Nasim Pedrad.

Guy Ritchie is directing the film from a script written by John August (Big Fish) and Game of Thrones writer Vanessa Taylor.

Power Rangers Street Fighter Crossover Review

Power Rangers and Street Fighter teaming up is pure fun from start to finish.

This Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown review contains spoilers.

I won’t lie, seeing Tommy and Gia morph alongside Ryu from Street Fighter is thrilling to watch. Does it make a lot of sense? No. Can I nitpick it? Of course. That doesn’t stop Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown from being so damn fun, which pretty much sums up this entire short.

There’s not really much of a plot. Ryu and Chun-Li team up with Tommy and Gia to fight M. Bison and some evil Rangers. Apparently Rita is working with M. Bison? Oh yeah, Ninjor happened to make a new power coin. Sure! Again, this isn’t a short that’s focused on plot. It’s more about the fun visuals and seeing the two universes interact.

Ryu and Chun-Li being teleported?

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Episode 16 Review: Car Trouble

Today's lesson of the day on Power Rangers? Conform to society's expectations or you’re trash. No, seriously.

This Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel review contains spoilers.

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Episode 16

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel has a lot of issues. You could point to many in this episode that continue issues seen throughout the season. Victor and Monty basically being cartoons characters, the poorly laid out set up for future episodes, the dialogue which feels the need to repeat what we've already seen, but that’s just more of the same.

What this episode demonstrated is that Super Ninja Steel has an agenda. Now of course all media has various types of agendas. The biggest one of Power Rangers is of course buy a lot of toys. But there’s a deeper and more troubling agenda that’s been slowly revealing itself over the past few episodes.

Ssss. Gridman Episode 1 Review: Awakening

It lacks anything from Super Human Samurai but there’s enough to make us want more.

This Ssss. Gridman review contains spoilers.

Ssss. Gridman Episode 1

I’m coming into Ssss. Gridman in perhaps the worst way possible. I’ve never seen any of the original Gridman Tokusatsu series nor have I watched much of Studio Trigger’s work in the past. The only frame of reference I have for this series is that I’ve seen every episode of Super Human Samurai Syber Squad, the American adaption of Gridman.

Even with the Ssss in the title I was pretty sure there wouldn’t be any references to the low budget mish mash of Saved by the Bell and Power Rangers. That meant I was going into this show clean. No expectations.

The story of Ssss. Gridman seems to follow Yuta, a school kid who’s lost his memories, his recently made friend Utsumi,

Aquaman Extended Trailer Delivers 5 Minutes of Intense DC Action
The extended trailer for James Wan's Aquaman has been released and it's our best look yet into the standalone Arthur Curry film that DC fans have been waiting for. Original planning from the studio had the movie hitting theaters this past summer, and then pushed back to this fall, but it will now come out at the end of December. Aquaman has been teased in the past, most notably from the San Diego Comic-Con first trailer, but that footage is nothing compared to what the studio has gifted us today in honor of New York Comic-Con.

Director James Wan has brought an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, Aquaman starring Jason Momoa in the title role.
