After following a car similar to the one used to kidnap Beth, Carol and Daryl find themselves in downtown Atlanta. They run into problems when they stop and are unable to restart their car. Carol knows the area and leads Daryl to a place she's familiar with - which turns out to be the battered women's shelter she and Sophia went to after fleeing her abusive husband. Their initial meeting with Beth's friend Noah doesn't go well as he takes their weapons. When they meet again, they realize the connection between them and agree to work together - but Carol is hit by a police car from the hospital. Written by garykmcd

Did You Know?

Originally the title for this episode was "Heart Drift" but it was changed to "Consumed" for unknown reasons. See more »

When Daryl and Carol enter the van, the dashboard is shown intact. After the van hits the ground, the inside is shown with the airbags deployed. Both of this is impossible. Either the airbags would have gone off when the van hit the railing of the bridge or they would not have gone off upon the impact on the ground, because the ignition was off (there was no key to be seen). Daryl and Carol are the stars of this show
17 November 2014 | by seshasai-trisSee all my reviews

The show that started by offering a lot of promise with story progressing rapidly with cool zombie kills, strategies and emotions has now become a show that focuses more on character building. The directors are taking story part a little less serious.

This episode focuses on dynamics of Daryl and Carol whom we all love more than any one else lately in this series. The characters are tough, binding the story with their bare hands.

The cinematography of this episode is much better. Amazing city landscapes, buildings, Blood spills on cameras were shown brilliantly.

This episode makes you love Daryl-Carol even more!
