Pivots right on the edge of being a reality show... that's a good thing
12 November 2014 | by A_Different_DrummerSee all my reviews

TV has changed so much in the last decade. Sons of Anarchy, for example, captured viewers by walking that fine line between fiction and reality, and pretty much set the bar for that style of script.

And then along comes Kingdom, and SOA suddenly starts to look a little forced, a little contrived.

That's how good this show is.

And a big shout-out to Kiele Sanchez who has a rare kind of charisma. Almost the female equivalent of being "the smartest guy in the room," she seems to be the character everyone else would ask advice from if something really bad happened.

And in this series bad things happen all the time.
