Storyline

After reverend Paul Coates's remarkable appeal for calm and tolerance during Jack's funeral service, Gracefield must pull together when the terrifying news arrives that the milers' son Tom goes missing, despite father Jim having left him only very close to school. Mark Solano takes charge of the mass search, which for now only finds Tom's abandoned bicycle. The mystery vet named by Jack, Lars Pierson, is finally found in a remote cabin, where Tom seemed to be heading for. He's on anti-psychotic medication but Carver gets him to remember he sort of advised Tom about traveling as far as Budapest. carver is surprised that his daughter, who rarely reacted by phone, now turns up unannounced, but he can't tel her about his cardiac peril or take time from the case, so she leaves soon.
