My favourite episode so far, with loads going on to keep me thoroughly entertained. Underhanded actions from the Reverend Webb and the village store owner Camilla Radler, continue to threaten the future of the zoo. Adam the bear escaping, makes George realize that they desperately need more money, if his dream of a zoo without bars is to become a reality, but from where? A chance encounter with an eccentric rich widower Lady Daphne Goodwin(wonderfully portrayed by Celia Imrie), who takes a shine to June's squirrel monkey, Mortimer, sees George get an idea for raising funds. George persuades Lady Katherine Longmore to allow him to set up a benefit in Selbourne Hall to try to obtain sponsors from the local gentry for the zoo's animals. An eventful benefit ensues,that's not without its surprises. Kept me captivated and craving more....
