Cartel 2045 is a futuristic take on the drug war against Mexico.
Things are so bad against the US and Mexico (I guess the Wall was never done) that now the Mexican Cartel has military trained robots.
Led by a cutthroat leader, Danny Trejo of the drug dealers, the military has there work cut out for them.
The cartel originally gets these robots after the military stops using them after an accident in Iran makes them illegal. The Cartel obtain them through the black market.
Enter our hero to put a stop to this, Marine Carson Wright.
He was responsible for the incident that led to the ban on the robots. A chip that was implanted in him was faulty, it was supposed to allow him to control the robot droids.
He is reassigned and sent to Mexico with a special unit marine force. There mission to save an engineer being held by Danny Trejos ruthless henchmen.
Overall Pretty cool robot effects which have pretty taken over as the armed protectors of Danny Trejo drug organization!
I was surprised how story structured and how well the cast delivered there performances.
Danny Trejo as a ruthless drug dealer will s haunting. He plays the role well and have not seen him in a role like this in a while. He impressed me and really made a presence and standout!
