"no compulsory in Islam" (Quran 2:256)
31 May 2015 | by See all my reviews

Outlander is one of my favorite shows. I took this show as an opportunity to learn the the Scottish accent along with the historical events and the customs and tradition of Scotland which I'm not very exposed to. My review is about the Islamic message was given in this episode unfortunately incorrect or untrue. the slavery were stopped 1400 years ago by Prophet Muhammad peace upon him. As a result there is no slaves in Algeria and most certainly as a Muslim we believe "no compulsory in Islam" (Quran 2:256) to convert to Islam at the end it's a choice. What will be the point of torture anyone to convert to Islam when they don't believe it in it? As Muslim, I found the information said from "Jamey" offensive, and I wish if there were more studies about Islam took place to deliver neutral image as after all, this show is not about Islam and Christianity.
