Remember all those pretty girls in high school, that you really wanted to get with, but would never give you the time of day? Well This movie has one of them, and in and unintentionally way, it shows you just how self absorbed, and vapid they were. The lines some of these actors deliver reminds me of stoned people trying to come off smart, while they are still high. Lest not forget the actors couldn't act to save their own life.
I think the movie is suppose to come off as something really profound and smart, that makes you go hmmm at the end. But it fails. There's really nothing happening in the movie that makes you really interested in the character's,nor their boring life's.
A girl in the bathroom pouting, complaining over people seeing her only for her outer beauty, and thinking all there's to her is she's beautiful.(That's why you are popular honey.Hello Claire from breakfast club)They can't see that she's got a brain.
To sum it up. Some lazy author thought it was a good idea to combine several teen movies from the 80s 90 in to a movie.
A Pretty popular girl(hello every teen movie since the dawn of time).
A nerdy friend/admirer and his nerdy scooby gang of friends (Hello girl next door) skip all the usual: she turning the loser/nerd into a man etc.
Instead pretty girl disappear suddenly one night after a small revenge plot on her BF.Seems like nobody misses her, including her parents
Only the nerdy guy and his scooby gang misses her, mostly nerdy guy, cause he is in love with her.
They have to go on a hunt for clues she may or may not have left behind, cause she always used to leave clues everywhere
they go on road trips, to follow said clues so they can find her(hello stand by me) there's a school prom included(hello every teen movie made in the last 20 years or so) And there you have it
