The two supernatural series tell the story of a 14-year-old girl, Tara Bailey, uprooted from her Urban American home to move to to a spooky remote rural village in "middle England" with her best selling novelist mother and British stepfather. Teamed with her brother Jake and her British step-siblings Seb and Bella, she suddenly falls into a web of danger and must fight to save her new family home, Evermoor Manor. Written by Paris Italy
I would say that Evermoor is intriguing more than anything. It has some nice ideas but I'm still not sure about the four episode short series. Either it's a movie or a TV series...it can't be both. I don't think they explored it's potential enough as they ran out of time and overall the final product feels a little rushed.
Probably the hardest thing to watch was Naomi Sequeira's portrayal as the "American" Tara. It was absolutely painful and possibly the worst fake accent I have ever heard. The poor thing is not a terrible actor but her voice work sucks. Most of the cast were a little weak overall but it didn't define the series.
There were areas the show could improve on but it was something new and entertaining.
