Divorce Insurance as the title spells out is a super complex concept to delve into as divorce in Korean culture is seen mostly as unacceptable. The best part of the drama was the use of the romcom genre to play lightheartedly into this theme while still delivering key messages that divorce isn't the end all be all but there can still be happiness at the end of the journey for couples.
The irony of using this genre is having the characters fall in love within the theme of divorce but Lee Dong-Wook reminds us why he's king. He's a talented actor that brings out a new side of Lee Ju-Bin as she begins to star in lead roles. Let's also not forget that sometimes prior roles for Lee Kwang-Soo maybe played too much into his personality as seen on shows like Running Man. Here - we finally have a role that allows him to shine more professionally and I loved it.
If you want a show that's easy to watch but gives you butterflies if you think broadly about the messages they are trying to deliver, highly recommend.
