    • Goofs
When Raylan is talking to Daryl Crow by the elevators, on the sign behind them listing the different offices in the building, the Assayers Office is listed as the "Assayers Orifice." Though this was surely a joke by the props department, it is likely they did not intend for it to be readable on screen.

Katherine Hale: [Widow of major Kentucky drug kingpin chats with the ADA who put her late husband in prison] Well, whatever dark, twisted fantasies you have about me, David, rest assured that now, I am nothing but a lil' ol' country grandma.

ADA David Vasquez: Don't look like any grandma I ever saw. 'Course, both my grandmas look like Edward James Olmos.

    Desperation
One of the best scenes in 'The Toll' is a hotel suite meeting between Boyd and Wynn Duffy, with a new entrant into the partnership (the lovely Mary Steenburgen). The topic of discussion certainly isn't flowery, but it gets a charge out of the exchange of Southern pleasantries that always seem to be thinly-veiled threats.

This is an all-around solid episode with surprises all over the place (even in the cold open with a major character getting shot). We're nearing the end of the Crowes' arc and this proves that it won't be dull. It also firmly reestablishes Boyd Crowder as a bona fide wild card, a real viper when cornered (Goggins is in fine form here). It's right here that he throws out one of the show's best lines:

"I may not know a lot about a lot of things, but I know how to blow shít up!"
