In S3, E14, Frosts mother, says that she lives in Virginia. In S5, E2, she arrives at BPD, requiring some comfort from the squad, again from somewhere reasonably close by, I.e. Virginia. But after the funeral, when Jane gets home, she finds a postcard that has just arrived from Frost, and the postcard is from San Diego. More than a day of driving away. See more »

Death with Dignity
11 July 2014 | by nightowwlSee all my reviews

It took courage to write an episode that didn't trivialize Lee Thompson Young's death, or worse, tried to pretend it never happened. We all die, yet most of are terrified by just the thought of death. Rather than face that fear, we never think or talk about it. 'Goodbye' faced death head-on; it was moving, heartfelt and a lovely tribute to a lovely man.

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep, by Mary Elizabeth Frye:

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quite birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die.
