I haven't laughed this hard at a Kdrama in a long time. It is just what I needed. The female character is over the top but that in no way ruins the story. I have loved Kang Tae-oh since Attorney Woo and he is the reason I chose this show to be my next watch, even though it wasn't released all at once and it is hard to wait for the next episodes to drop.
The whole ensemble from the Potato Lab to the roommates to the villagers is just a riot. Three separate possible romances also add flavor to the drama. Enough intrigue and hints from the past keep you wondering how it will all come together. I will keep watching as now it is taking a more serious turn in the romance of the two leads. Don't give up on this for any reason. It is a delight!

I thought this would be a fun series but the female lead ruined it and really turned me off of this series. The rest of the cast is great and I was really looking forward to seeing the male lead in another series.
I stopped the series in episode 2 because it would put me in the worst mood watching thanks to the female lead. The female lead really leaves a bad taste. She's excessive, angry, childish, and over all feels like she's just a bad person. I couldn't stand to watch anymore because of this character alone. Not sure why they needed to take it to this extreme. It's not fun to watch.
I don't think I will finish it.

I have struggled to get to episode 11 and will eventually finish this.... but oh my goodness....ugh
A series like this rises and falls on two things - writing and actors..... the poor writing for the female leads' character and a horrid (although beautiful) actress playing that unfortunate part...
If the female lead did not have such a dysfunctional personality if might be possible to overlook her best friend who has an even worse dysfunctional personality than hers.
All the other actors were wonderful, especially the male lead. Amazing that someone wrote this, directed, produced and financed this for so many people like me to give up multiple hours of their lives to endure it.... I assume, or truly hope, the last episode will have the FL see herself and do a turn around and hopefully her totally bizarre friend will butt out.
HELLO....? I have seen more than a couple new series be ruined because the writers have no concept of basic human psychology and interaction.
INITIAL REVIEW: I have really been looking forward to this show. I enjoy the work of the male lead and had not seen him recently so it was a pleasant surprise.
It seems quite a few new drama (I can think of three right now off the top of my head), have female leads who are just annoyingly weird.
I love the idea of this drama and the characters were coming together but oh my goodness.... what is with this weird woman?
She is over the top angry, reactive and spiteful. It stopped being funny already and I am only midway through episode 2.
In real life people do over react and certainly can be angry.... but geez already who ever wrote this surely just left real life and went off the rails.
I am hopeful the female lead grows up a bit or looks at her obtuse behavior and snaps out of it. She DOES NOT have to be friendly but surely she could behave like a sane human being.
I will come back and re-evaluate if I continue watching. I gave it an 8 star because I am hopeful.

It's a drama leaning heavily on the comedy and it actually works, only to the detriment of showing us real people to root for. The comedy takes up so much space that there almost isn't any left for real talk and real issues, and whatever pops up, and there actually is quite a lot to delve into, is brushed aside after a few dramatic scenes for some more comic relief. So it left me dissatisfied with how some of the conflicts are resolved.
Mi-kyung gets over So Baek-ho's past actions too easily, apparently because his looks are lethal and she just cannot stay mad at him. On-ju's betrayal barely registers, when in fact On-ju could have spared her months of her doubting herself and stumbling in the dark. For all of Mi-kyung's verbal and physical abuse, she seems to forgive and forget all too easily, which in the real world would actually make her a doormat. Plus her brother is solely used for comic relief and I really felt for that poor guy. The chairman's daughter is excused for forcing herself into a man's life just because she was madly in love.
So it's a drama that you're not supposed to take seriously really, so the dramatic moments do not get much of a resolution, although I must say the acting is pretty good and effective, for both the comedy and the drama. Mi-kyung abuses her eyebrow movements a little too much and also there's no real explanation as to where her tattooed eyebrows went from one episode to the next, but let's chalk that up to the comedy, which I believe was the intended purpose. I appreciated that the lead actress has a distinct look that sets her apart from the general leading ladies of k-drama.
The ending made no sense, I don't get how they got those jobs, but again I'm overthinking things.
They're cute, it works, I was waiting every week for the two episodes, not each episode was worth the wait, but there is some magic at play here.

What on earth happened in the end? Okay, this was a romantic comedy, the characters were a littlebit exaggerated, but somehow funny and still enough credible. I think that 12 parts was good choice, because it seemed that writers had nothing else to give. Still, the last 8 minutes in the end of the series almost ruined the whole story. I'am embarrassed. Is there going to be a sequel or was it just a joke. Just let it be, these characters does not have anything else to give. Actors did their job well, I loved the female lead actress, the way she did to perform furious but still sensitive woman was enjoyable.
