Storyline

After the king has foolishly expressed a wish to experience life as a commoner the musketeers take him to a tavern, where, after he has caused a fight, he and D'Artagnan are captured by the notorious criminal Simon Lemaitre, to be sold as Spanish galley slaves. With the Dauphin's christening imminent the musketeers are ordered to save them whilst Rochefort, taking advantage of her husband's absence, persuades the queen to write a letter asking for assistance from Spain. The musketeers rout the slavers whilst the king and D'Artagnan are freed by one of the gang - Milady De Winter, who has her own reasons, plus a ring stolen from the king, who is as graceless as before, whilst Rochefort keeps the queen's letter for possible further use. Goofs

With her patron, the Cardinal, dead this episode re-introduces Milady De Winter as a high ranking member of a gang of kidnappers. In all her other appearances thus far she has worn a ribbon around her neck to hide the scar from the hangman's rope. In this episode she wears nothing around her neck. When she finds the King's ring in a bag of loot, there may be a hint of a visible scar. In other scenes, nothing! Even when she begins her seduction of King Louis. When she kisses him there is a close-up of her with no visible scar. When the other Musketeers come to the rescue, there is discussion of the Lady's crimes. A scar would have been immediate proof of this, but the King dismisses the issue. Then, two episodes later, in Emilie, it's a big thing again. She is now the King's mistress and he asks her about the ribbon she now wears, which she demurely declines to remove. And, a little later she is attacked in the hall by Rochefort, who pulls the ribbon off, exposing a visible scar and thus discovering her secret. See more »
