Kevin Bacon was originally set to make a cameo as a crossover with The Following (2013), also produced by Kevin Williamson. However, the producers decided that "one set of our psychos is enough for one universe," and scrapped the idea. When asked about future crossover episodes, Williamson shrugged and stated: "I'm sure Joe Carroll - James Purefoy in The Following (2013) - did a fair amount of stalking in his younger years." When you aren't trying to compare this to other crime shows, which it isn't, and watch it as it is intended, you'll find it is really well put together. I didn't care who directed it, wrote it, or what thev've done previously, so my judgment wasn't clouded by expectations of what it "will be like". I just am enjoying what it is.
Maggie Q is awesome at both hard and fragile sides to her character as is Dylan McDermott. I loved Mariana Klaveno in True Blood, so I'm expecting big things from her here as well.
The plots so far have been well thought out, believable and very creeper, creepy. If you've ever worried about being followed or foot shadows at your door at night, this is the show for you.
