Storyline

Ned turns off the Simpsons' freezer when he discovers Homer has been using his electric to power it so to stop the meat contained in it going bad Marge makes dozens of sandwiches, which go down well at school. As a result she opens her sandwich shop as part of the Mother Hubbard franchise and it does well, especially when the family comes in to help after a staff walk-out. However Cletus and his family open another shop over the road, taking away the Simpsons' customers. A scam is required to persuade the Mother Hubbard company to give Marge back the money she invested and the family rallies round to provide it. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

In a scene near the end of the episode, the Simpsons family and a number of other townsfolk are seen relaxing by the lake on a sunny day. This scene is a direct reference to the 1886 impressionist painting "Sunday afternoon on the island of La Grande-Jatte" by Georges Seurat. See more »

Slightly Disappointing after Two Strong Episodes Previously,
22 November 2014 | by lesleyharris30See all my reviews

Super Franchise Me is a good Simpsons with a well written storyline and several very funny scenes. The twenty sixth season started off very strong with Clown in the Dumps, followed by the even better Wreck of the Relatioship, but I was pretty disappointed by this episode,it's not awful but it's pretty mediocre and is certainly a forgetful moment in Simpsons history. It was fun seeing Marge start a sandwich franchise, and was even better once the other family members got involved,it was certainly enjoyable while it lasted. Not an unforgettable Simpsons but Super Franchise Me is still funny and easy to watch.

Marge starts her own sandwich store, but running a business proves challenging, especially when a rival opens up across the street.
