Summer of 1943. The Jews of Greater Bulgaria must adhere to the laws of Germany. Moni, (17) a Jewish youngster from Sofia and Giogio the son of the commissar for Jewish affairs' driver, meet Shelly (17) a Jewish girl from Kavala (Greece). A tender and beautiful love story set in times of fascist plague. The three youngsters are remarkably true and disarmingly charming. The acting of the young actress is very true and powerful. The two young actors are equally tenaciously sensitive and marvelously convincing. The trio in love is the leading tune of this tender story set in the bloodshed and war horror of WWII. And probably after more than 70 years from the historic events( part of the "frame " ) of Bulgarian PHAPSODY this is the only possible way to recall history with the little tales of the people who were the unfortunate suffering punished to live at this period.
