Trivia

Title: The episode title comes from a koan attributed to the Zen master Yunmen Wenyan and the Buddhist concept of Dharmakaya. The "six graspables" are the five human senses plus the mind. The "six ungraspables" signify how neither sense nor thinking can be of any help in the comprehension of the absolute. This might correlate to the characters' relationship to the ideas of a higher power. See more »

The Six Ungraspables

An urge to create high dramatic sequences that build up as a forward pass in the plotline (to project the amount of pain Martin Freeman goes through for the hand; the whole interrogation scene in jail is breathtaking) depicts how explicitly it is executed and as far as writing is concerned, all the tales (the guy trying to change the world and the 'breakfast and dinner' one) are just goose fleshing good.
