A documentary on the Louisville, Kentucky band Slint with a focus on their seminal final album, Spiderland.
This documentary is for the band Slint, a cult post-rock/math rock/post-hardcore band. Their album "Spiderland" is incredible and tragically underrated. This documentary helped me realize that these guys are a group of crass teenagers just making music and experimenting. They're similar to my group of friends and really show that anybody can get together and make something truly spectacular. They didn't get huge and didn't even stay together, seeing the release of the album. But, they had a brief moment in time where they left a great mark on music. They inspire me to continue my plans to write music and release an album.
