Goofs

When Reverend Curtis and Alicia attempt to cash Judge Harris' check, the banker mistakenly asks if the church is "a registered 501(3)(c)", presumably to confirm the legitimacy of the church as a registered tax-exempt, charitable organization with the IRS. The section of Internal Revenue Code that specifies acceptable exempt purposes of such organizations is actually 501(c)(3). See more »

Quotes

Pernell Harris: I need to talk to PJ first.
Dr. Williams: Pernell, we talked about this.
Pernell Harris: You don't get a say in this, doc. No offense.
Crystal Harris: I think the doctor's just being careful. You... you need to rest. We'll... we'll see PJ later.
Pernell Harris: No.
Dr. Williams: Hold on, Pernell. I'm afraid I have to insist.
Pernell Harris: You're talking in a tone that implies an authority I don't think you have, Dr. Williams. What am I, on house arrest? Well, then, shut the f*ck up and get the f*ck out of my way.

Excellent pilot. Great story
1 June 2015 | by jameslee194See all my reviews

Don't worry, no spoilers here. This has to be one of the best pilots I have ever watched. The acting is at a very high quality and the camera work is professional. The main lead actor makes a very commanding performance and immediate is suited to the role. What makes this stand out from other programs is the strength of story. The story is consistent and at the end of the pilot you are left to decide what you have made of the previous events, without the show telling you what to think. I also love the use God (without being preachy) and the idea of right and wrong is also interesting. It almost has a feel of the film crash, in the sense the characters work beautifully together. Well worth watching.
