It follows the story of two lonely teachers, a male and a female. They were assigned at the same rural school but a year apart. The girl being assigned first, attempted to write her thoughts on a diary, being stuck out in boonies. One day she has to be transferred to another school and left the diary. The male teacher came by as a substitute and saw the diary, thus, falling in love with the unacquainted writer. He also wrote his thoughts on it. The guy also left and the lady returned and saw that there are added articles on the diary. She also fell in love with him but now having a hard time looking for the boy. Will the two ever meet?Written by

Everyone knows the love story plot. Boy meets girl. Something bad happens and boy looses girl. Yet, they get back together. But then something very bad happens and boy really seems to lose girl. At the end (usually at an airport) the boy and girl somehow manage to get back together for the happy ending. The only exception to this plot formula is the Chinese version where boy meets girl and the rest is up to fate. "Teacher's Diary" is amazing just for the plot structure alone. It follows the standard love story plot but the fabulous creative element is that the boy and girl never actually meet until the final scene. This is genius and I loved it. Even if you're not a writer and don't know that there are only ten plots and every movie you see is just one of those ten plots with different characters, it doesn't matter. This is a good movie with comedy and character and worth all of the 8 stars I'm giving it.
