Storyline

With many people fearing the actions of super heroes, the government decides to push for the Hero Registration Act, a law that limits a hero's actions. This results in a division in The Avengers. Iron Man stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check otherwise cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America feels that saving the world is daring enough and that they cannot rely on the government to protect the world. This escalates into an all-out war between Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Spider-Man) and Team Captain America (Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant Man) while a new villain emerges. Trivia

The film was going to feature The Incredible Hulk, but he was shifted to Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and so the filmmakers chose Secretary of State Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) in the film, as a substitute to illustrate the theme of destructive power: "We thought it would be interesting to use a character who had a fanatical anti-superhero point of view, built on experience. He's cornering The Avengers politically now, he's out-maneuvering them." See more »

Goofs

The pieces on the chess board in the Avengers' compound are positioned on the wrong sides of the board. The left corner field (A1, H8) of the chess board has to be black (not white), therefore the board has to be turned 90 degrees to be correct. See more »

User Reviews

I am proud that Sebastian Stan had the chance to speak Romanian and was a nice introduction of Chadwick Boseman
30 August 2020 | by cotandreeaSee all my reviews

I am proud to have a fellow Romanian in the States that represents us, our language and values. I am also super happy that I had seen Chadwick Boseman in this movie, because he was a very good actor. I feel shocked that he died so young.
