Invasion of the Body Snacthers meets Children of the Corn
3 June 2015 | by s3276169See all my reviews

The Whispers taps into well established sci-fi/horror genre of an unseen other.

The series mixes elements reminiscent of films such as Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Children of the Corn. The children in this series are influenced by an unseen presence who controls and manipulates their actions, seemingly with nefarious intentions.

Its not a new premise but its carried well with above average acting and good directing. That said, this series is not doing anything new and the tiresome "the nation (US) is under threat" malarkey has well and truly had its day.

An OK watch, just don't expect anything special. Six out of ten from me.
