Fox Business to Replace ‘The Independents’ With ‘Kennedy’

Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery, the onetime MTV host who has recently been seen on Fox Business program “The Independents,” is getting a series built around her.

Montgomery will be the host of “Kennedy,” which will launch January 26 at 10 p.m., after the conclusion of an episode of the network’s new “Strange Inheritance” reality series that night.

“Kennedy” will feature an opening monologue from the host, followed by interviews and discussion segments. Fox Business is billing the program as focused on “big water-cooler discussion topics.”

The network is ending “The Independents,” which also featured Fox Business Network contributors Matt Welch and Kmele Foster.

Fox Business has canceled the libertarian-oriented program “The Independents,” an insider familiar with the situation told TheWrap.

Fox Business confirmed the cancellation to TheWrap. The last episode of the show aired Jan. 9.

The program featured a panel of hosts including former MTV VJ Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery alongside contributors Matt Welch and Kmele Foster.

Kristin Cavallari: "We Don't Vaccinate"

Always one to protect her children, Kristin Cavallari stated that she and hubby, Jay Cutler did not vaccinate their son, Camden in an interview on Fox Business Show, "The Independents."

The talk show's host, Kennedy, made a quick joke about Jenny McCarthy not believing in vaccinating children, and the "Laguna Beach" alum smiled, saying, "We didn’t vaccinate."

Defending her statement, the 27-year-old beauty said, "I’ve read too many books about autism. There is a pediatric group called Homestead or, shoot, Homestead or Home First...but they’ve never vaccinated any of their children and they’ve never had one case of autism."

Telling Kristin that her theory may not be valid, Kennedy fired back, "Well, my mom vaccinated us, and she doesn’t have any cases of autism either. Isn’t that weird?"
