The Joker is a comic villain who has been portrayed countless times in live action, often falling short from the comic source material from which he originates. However, in Jokers Wild, he is brought to life in a manner that makes him the disturbing, giggling monster DC fans know him as. Portrayed brilliantly by David Howard Thornton (best known as Art the Clown), this version of The Joker is in the process of brutally torturing Jason Todd, cackling sinisterly as he rips the poor Robin apart. The short also brings a taste of what a gritty, dark, and brutal DC live action universe would look like in comparison to the light hearted and comedic super hero films we have grown used to, and how much more interesting such a universe would be. All in all, Jokers Wild is a beautifully grotesque fan film that is 13 minutes of poor enjoyment for die hard DC fans.
A short film put together to showcase the acting skills of two great individuals, combines a supervillain ( Joker) and superhero (Robin). A mixture of suspense, horror and dark comedy makes this short film artistic and creative in many ways. The makeup is a creative take on the Joker utilizing prosthetics to achieve the look. I thought the film had a good amount of suspense mixed with dark comedy and the performance of both main actors was wonderful. The actors really got into their characters and told the short story very well!
All in all job well done to everyone involved in making this film.

As a long time fan of the DC comic book representation of the Joker the short movie 'Jokers Wild' was a delightful treat. David Howard Thornton is hilarious in a role that he was born to play, the cinematography is beautifully done and Joel LeBlanc's performance as the tormented Jason Todd is extremely powerful. Some moments will leave you unable to look away from the fantastic performance of both actors. We NEED TO SEE DAVID JOKER AGAIN! David's performance as the clown prince of crime isn't something that the DCU has presented in film yet, but if you love the iconic Mark Hamill Joker from Batman The Animated Series then you'll definitely be enamoured with David's portrayal as the Joker.
When I first heard David Howard Thornton (the actor who plays the legendary Art the Clown) was doing his own spin on the Joker, I was so fricking thrilled that I almost p*ssed myself in pure excitement! So I looked up this movie on YouTube and watched it, and let me tell you... David Howard Thornton DID NOT disappoint AT ALL!
The Joker in this short film is ruthless like he should be, and David Howard Thornton is the PERFECT casting choice for this version of him! DC needs to hire this man one day to portray a more sinister Joker! I mean, don't get me wrong, The Joker (2019) was amazing too, but I feel like if they actually hire the man who plays Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise to play The Joker, the fans (myself included) would be in a frenzy. I hadn't even heard of this short film before it was recommended to me! Why did this fly under my radar? I love Art the Clown! He's probably the most memorable horror villain as of right now! The dude NAILS IT as The Joker in this movie!
For the ones who haven't seen this, please go check it out! It deserves the attention it is getting! If there is more of Jokers Wild, I will definitely be there watching it!

D. Thorton did an amazing performance with a JOKER that absolutely stunning, I do enjoy batman but Joker & Penguin are the top two villians that I personally believe they're not villians to me, they're the antagonist of goods. The runtime is extremely short like 12 minutes without credits and a extra 56 seconds with the credits, the credits is more like thanking the cast and crew production team to help make this short without dealing with a full length feature film which was a good idea to be a short film. At the end of the short Batman showed up without seeing his face, Robin did not recognize who he was. So yeah, Jokers wild was a 9.8/10.
