The story revolves around Chef Cleavon "Von" Burkett (Timon Kyle Durrett), a former ladies' man who was living the good life with a beautiful wife (Erica Hubbard)- until one day he wasn't. A heart attack brings Von face to face with God (Harry Lennix), and God offers Von a second chance at life, IF he atones to ALL of his exes. With the help of his best friend (Brian Hooks) and the determination to live, Von embarks on a hilarious journey to seek redemption. Cleavon "Von" Burkett (Timon Kyle Durrett) was a notorious ladies' man. Five years ago, Von promised his dying mother Martha (Thea Camara) that he would amend his was and treat women with respects. A short time later God (Harry Lennix) takes Von's mother to heaven. When Von picks up his mother's thing at the hospital, Von makes a coffee date with Lanae (Erica Hubbard), his mother's attending physician. Lanae would become Von's wife. Five year's later, Von is sending Lanae off to a medical conference. Lanae remind Von to take his blood pressure medication warning him of the medical mishaps if Van fails to follow through. A short time later, Chef Von is having a phone conversation with a co-worker and fantasizing about a new female employee, when Von suffers a heart attack. In that moment, Von is face to face with God. God is disappointed with how Von has treated women in his past but offers Von a second chance at life if he atones to all of his exes in 72 hours. Von is awoken by his best friend Tyrann (Brian Hooks). Von explains the near-death experience he has had and his resolve to gain forgiveness his past dishonesty with the women he has deceived. Tyrann questions whether Von must attain forgiveness from his wife. A flashback shows Lanae discovering a lipstick laced napkin with Brenda's name and phone number from Von's jacket. Von admits he cheated on Lanae prior to their wedding. Tyrann suggests that he inherit Von's flat screen TV and Xbox teasing Von he will never get forgiveness from his wife. Von sets about creating a list of the women from which he must seek redemption. Tyrann reminds Von to include Marquita, a woman Von broke up with after she had a car accident. Later Brenda returns Von's call. Von recalls how Lanae suggested they get married 3 ½ year ago and withheld sex from him until he decided about their future. Von reluctantly agrees but Lanae says she is not trying to win an argument, just live a decent life. Brenda agrees to forgive Von and he scratches her name off his list. Von's next call is to Marquita (Brely Evans). Marquita is still very much in love with Von and uses chants, charms and self-help books to keep her hopes up. When Von calls, Marquita forgives him believing her man has returned to her. She demands VIP treatment in Von's Alpha-Omega restaurant as a condition of her forgiveness. Von is reluctant to call Kandice (Chyna Layne). Von recalls that Kandice has a violent temper and he had to threaten police intervention in his last encounter with her when she refused to leave his house. Little did Von know that Lanae, at the time, was waiting outside his door. Kandice agrees to come to Von's home within the next hour. As soon as Von hangs up the phone, Lanae calls from her convention. Von recalls the first time he told a woman he loved her when Lanae and Von were in the midst of an argument about Von lying about his affairs. When Kandice arrives, she is a changed woman. She is married with a child and calm, cool, and collected. When Von asks for forgiveness for the way he treated her, Kandice reveals that she had forgiven Von years ago and had moved on with her life. After Kandice leave, Von scratches Kandice off his list. Von recalls the trail of rose petals that led Lanae to his marriage proposal. Von ends his day playing cards with Lane's best friend, Kia (Terri J. Vaughn). He entrusts Kia with the keys to his safety deposit box and asks Kia to take care of Lanae if something happens to him. Kia is suspicious but accepts the responsibility. With 24 hours to his literal "deadline", Von is working the phone getting forgiveness from his past female acquaintances. Tyrann is eating a turkey sub sandwich and examining Von's list when Von gets an unexpected phone call. Marquita explains that she is outside Von's house. Von goes outside to meet her. Marquita has a "bride to be" sash across her frame and seeks Von's approval on her wedding plans. In the conversation, Marquita reveals she has come to Von's house several times a week for five years. Von threatens to call the police if Marquita does not leave. Marquita retracts her forgiveness. Von prays that Marquita's forgiveness does not count in the lifesaving measures he is taking. Von invites Monique (Tang Miller) over for lunch. After some small talk, Von seeks forgiveness for sleeping with Monique's friend Pam. Von says he only started dating Pam so his restaurant would pass a health inspection. When Monique suggests it is Pam he should be apologizing to, Von reveals that Pam in dead, which Monique finds hilarious. Monique, after explaining how hurt she was by Von, gives Von the forgiveness he seeks as she departs. Tyrann is watching TV with Von and brings up Von's desire to start a family. Liyah (Cynda Williams) is Von's next door neighbor. Von apologizes to Liyah for his behavior with her before he was married. Liyah is satisfied with her life and forgives Von but worries what is happening to Von to bring about such a question. Shortly before Lanae arrives home, God visits with Von. God is proud of Von's efforts to make amends. He reminds Von of his free will choice to admit his guilt to his wife. Von is worried his wife might leave him. God assures Von that Lanae has free will as well. Lanae awakens Von from his dream. Von is feeling the after effects of his heart attack and sits Lanae down to have a conversation. Lanae recalls a time shortly before her wedding with Kia, where Kia reads a letter her father wrote. The letter is about men who cheat and lie and the women who might forgive them and then go on to life happy fulfilled lives rather than break up their families. Kia warns Lanae there will come a day when Von will admit his guilt to Lanae and seek forgiveness. Von, still struggling with his breathing, tells Lanae that he loves her very much but he is unworthy of her, and that he will be leaving her. He instructs her to find a good man and be happy. God and Von are chatting as Von downs a glass of heavenly milk. God tells Von that his mother is one of his saints and wants Von to be a better man. Von realizes his mother influence God to help him see the light. Nine months later, Von and Lanae have just celebrated a gender reveal party for their new daughter. Von promises Lanae and his unborn daughter that he will always do right by them. 4*
