Summaries

• A young child falls under Zatoichi's care. As the child's secret origin is revealed, others become very interested in its fate.

• Ichi (Shintaro Katsu) climbs a tree to help Taro, a small boy, who is selling persimmons to buy medicine for his sick grandfather. He takes the boy home where he discovers from the dying grandfather that he is the son of a wealthy silk merchant. Ichi, being the honorable man that he is, ends up taking the boy home. The local yakuza boss finds out about the boy and the reward for his safe return plots to be the one instead. There is also Inosuke, who used to work for the boss, and his girl friend Oshino who find out about the boy and try to get the reward.
