Allow me to preface this by saying that I have seen clown kill twice in my life. I am not willing to watch it a third time. I would sooner jump into shark-infested water. I would rather rub my fingers up and down a cheese grater with boards made of sandpaper.
Clown Kill is what happens when you base the concept of a movie around a fad. You get a cheap attempt to cash in on something which may in and of itself not be all that interesting. We know there will be a clown in the movie. There is a clown in the movie. The clown kills. What can you do with a clown that kills that has not been done already? Any potential creativity is not present within this film. The kills aren't even all that creative. The twist is lame and predictable, and there didn't even need to be a twist at all. Clown Kill would have arguably been better without it.
To say this movie is a slog is an understatement. It takes 45 minutes for the titular clown to even make an appearance, and when he does... well, he's certainly in the movie. He's certainly a clown killing. Was it worth the inane buildup thar doesn't even build to anything? Absolutely not. You could watch the movie without any audio and you could easily guess what's happening and what's going to happen because nothing in the script is necessary at all. The characters aren't even characters. They're pawns on a chess board existing only to get mowed down, which wouldn't be a problem if they were at least fun to watch, but tragically they are not.
All in all, If you want an equally frightening clown murder viewing experience with slightly less padding, just look up "killer clown" on YouTube. Your remaining brain cells will thank you later.
