Storyline

Nearly a decade after being inducted into the Assassin Brotherhood, Captain Adéwalé undertakes what appears to be a routine mission to retrieve a Templar parcel and investigate its intended recipient. When a hurricane destroys his ship, Adé finds himself stranded in Port-au-Prince, where Afro-Caribbean rebels are engaged in bloody conflict with French Colonial Marines. Fighting to survive long enough to reestablish contact with his Brotherhood peers, Adé lends his support to the rebels, and eventually learns of a mysterious scientific enterprise that could tip the struggle in their favor. Quotes

Adewale: I have killed many men on principle, but never have I wanted one to suffer as much as you - to understand what it is to gasp and beg for your life, like the innocents you drowned.
Governor Pierre de Fayetteville: You mean those slaves? That ship? But they are not even human! Without the discipline and guidance of their masters, they turn to rebellion and murder, like you.
Adewale: I only wish that were true.
